The Main Market Square in Krakow is one of the biggest squares in
Europe. We can see there almost all of the most famous historical monuments in Cracow. That's also a stage of most important political and cultural events, including all concerts, New Year' Eve parties etc. The Main Market Square is often called “heart of Cracow”, because it's the main public space. If somebody will tell you: “Let's meet in town!” You should be sure that he or she meant about the Main Market Square. During the summer, you can spend on the Square entire day: starting with delicious breakfast in one of the restaurant's summer gardens, then go shoppping to Cloth Hall and buy souvenirs for you and your family, visit Sukiennice Museum with amazing collection of Polish Art and after that go downstairs to visit interactive Underground Krakow Exhibition. After that, I suggest lunch at Wesele Restaurant (traditional Polish restaurant, also on the square) and maybe a bit of culture: concert of classical music in St Wojciech Church or good movie at Pod Baranami Cinema (all movies are showed with subtitles, no dubbing). Enjoy!
